Hello From USA

    Hello all, I am Huskysibe from Hookah Pro and would like to introduce myself. I am looking forward to getting involved with your international section here and hoping to help it take off. Also, I would love to learn to speak the language so I can understand and get involved with the main portion of this forum. Can anyone recommend a good website to assista with this? Thanks!

    And maybe you will learn a other side of smoking hookah like typical german setups for bowls and so on.


    And learning german with a internet hompage isnt good i think.
    best way would be a course or something like this (but this cost money)..


    otherwise you can buy a "learning a other language book" with a cd or something like this ^^ // yeah second time i said "something like this"

    great to see you here! although i dont think you can learn our language here with the forum ;) language here is very different (slang).
    things you have to know in german hookah language:
    shisha = hookah
    bowl = base
    head = bowl
    :D

    I guess this is the biggest difference.. we say "Tabak" for that what you call "Shisha", here, the word Shisha actually means "Hookah"... you guys in the US are all using it wrong and got it all mixed up :P

    Like mentioned before i doubt u'll understand the slang on the board here which is dreadfully coloquial =/
    For sure, ure gonna learn a lot of new things, e.g. u don't need to put like 20g in a phunnel bowl^^

    maybe he just wants to broaden his horizon (wow, i still can remember some englisch phrases from school :D)


    In my opinion it would be a great enrichment for all of us, if an american hookah smoker would try to be active in a german forum. He could learn about german "ways" of smoking hookah and i could refresh my englisch ^^

    I want to learn the language to better myself. I only know English so why not try my hand at German? Besides, theres millions of people that speak it. As far as the slang on the board, thats ok I just want to be able to somewhat understand whats going on here. The real goal is to one day be able to understand some German and be able to communicate back to someone. I live in the Washington DC area of the United States.

    Jonas, I am not trying to learn German on this forum hehe I have a podcast that I am studying. Just thought someone here might have a resource for me or would be willing to write back and forth to.

    I'm sure you'll get a lot of support. I improved my english a lot by visiting american communities, so i really think we can help you.
