Festplatte >2TB an TV anschließen

Hallo zusammen,

welche Möglichkeiten, außer PC, gibt es um eine Festplatte, die größer als 2 Terabyte ist an einen Fernseher anzuschließen?
Partitionieren hilft nicht, da dann trotzdem mit GPT formatieft wird.

Einen Fernseher kaufen, der mit dem Format klar kommt.
Alternativ die Daten über ein externes Gerät wie zb Raspberry Pi abspielen oder die Daten an deinem PC/Laptop bereitstellen und übers Netzwerk dem Fernseher zur Verfügung stellen. Dieser kann dann per DLNA auf die Daten zugreifen und abspielen.

Raspberry Pi habe ich noch nie gehört aber mich gerade bei wiki mal eingelesen.
Was ich nicht verstehe: fubktioniert das ding alleine oder was brauche ich alles um meine externe 2,5 Zoll 4 TB Festplatte anzuschließen? Bitte möglichst einfach und bildlich erklären für jm der kein Tec Freak ist. ;)

Was möchtest du den genau machen.? Klemm doch einfach die externe an deinen Pc oder Laptop an, und verbinde das ganze mit einem Hdmi Kabel an deinen Fernseher.

Die einzige alternative wäre wie schon erwähnt ein Dnla Netzwerk, was man eigentlich relativ einfach einrichten könnte. Oder schau dir mal MyCloud von Westerndigital an wäre auch eine Lösung.

Ein wenig Overkill. Da würde ich um das Geld lieber ein Nas kaufen. Dort alle Filme drauf laden und dann bequem per DLNA alles streamen.

Indem du deinen Fernseher mit dem Heimnetzwerk verbindest entweder per Wlan oder Netzwerk Kabel. Dan kannst du auf die Inhalte der jeweiligen Geräte zugreifen.

Schonmal die Platte mit Gparted partitioniert und eben auf MBR umgestellt?

Wo die Oberkante bezüglich Speicherplatz für anzuschließende Festplatten bei einem Fernseher liegt steht in der Bedienungsanleitung. Oft gibt es auch Beschränkungen über die maximale Dateianzahl oder Ordneranzahl.
Das hängt mit der Leistungsfähigkeit der verwendeten Chips zur Datenträgerverwaltung im TV zusammen.

Würde dir aber generell abraten das zu tun.
Mach entweder deinen PC leiser und schließ den TV als Zweitbildschirm an oder hol dir einen lüfterlosen/sehr leisen Rechner (gibt es billig) und schließ den TV an.
Die Filme aussuchen, abspielen etc, kannst du dann mit dem Smartphone. Zum Beispiel mit der Software "GRemote Pro". Anlage stöpselst du auch in den PC.
Das mache ich auch so, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Raspberry Pi würde ich abraten, da es da dann doch etwas an Dampf mangelt. Lieber einen günstigen, kleinen PC kaufen. Ist auch wesentlich einfacher einzurichten.
Weis nicht wie gut das evtl mit dem neuesten RasPi Modell klappt. Für mich ist es immer wichtig dass GRemote läuft, und das tut es nunmal nur auf Windoof.

Speicheranbindung dann etweder direkt and den PC oder über z.B. ein NAS.
