Festplatte an Dell-Desktop-PC wechseln

Ein Kollege hat mir heute seinen Dell-Desktop-PC vorbeigebracht mit der Bitte ihm die defekte Festplatte auszutauschen. Er war zuerst in einem Computerladen, die wollten incl. 500GB-Festplatte 250,-€, was eher unverschämt ist.
Dort wurde ihm gesagt, dass Dell-Mainboards ihren Dienst verweigern, wenn nicht wieder eine Original Dell-Festplatte eingebaut wird. habe das vorher noch nie gehört. Ist dem wirklich so?

also die die wir im unternehmen hatten, hatten keine probleme damit, wenn man eine andere platte reingesteckt hat..

und nebenbei bemerkt kriegt man für 250€ schon ein neues mainboard + festplatte und man hat noch reichlich geld für eine cpu :)

an dem Rechner ist ja alles in Ordnung, nur eine neue Platte muss rein, da die alte wohl defekt ist.
Also muss man die nicht zwingend bei Dell bestellen?

Dell stellt keine platten her, sondern Labelt die nur um.. vllt. kannst du ja die platte an deinen rechner mit einem adapter kit per sata oder so anschließen und gucken
welche bezeichnung die im Gerätemanager hat und dann einfach danach googeln und bestellen.. Jedoch glaube ich nicht das es mit anderen platten nicht funktionieren sollte..
so lange es den gleichen controler hat gibts keine probleme.. also IDE, PATA, Sata 300 oder 600.. Notfalls kann man die platte ja zurückschicken wenn ich mich irre..

bei der Western Digital sollte es auch bei Retour keine probleme geben.. da die platte von amazon selbst verkauft wird..

Die alte Platte macht keinen Mucks mehr. Ich konnte aber auch im Netz nix zu diesem Problem finden, daher werde ich einfach eine SATA-Platte bestellen. Gehe davon aus, dass das funktioniert.

genau. denke auch nicht das es probleme geben würde.. vllt. kann man ja anhand des aufkleber nochmal schauen welche platte überhaupt verbaut war :)
aber denke nicht das es notwendig ist.. sollten alle platten laufen..

Nur IDE mit S-ATA nicht verwechseln. ;)

Aber ne coole Masche unwissenden das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen.

Ansonsten gibt es zu dem Thema nichts mehr hinzuzufügen.

Ich persönlich würde da eine Western Digital Festplatte reinbauen, aber das ist Geschmackssache. ;)

Aber ne coole Masche unwissenden das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen.

Der Kollege ist schon fast 70. Sehe das ähnlich, man hat hier wohl gedacht, man kann ne Festplatte mit 15 Minuten Einbauzeit für diesen Preis verkaufen. Ist eigentlich schon traurig.

Platte rein und gut ists. Das einzige, was mir in solch einer Form bekannt ist, sind Hersteller System Images die zumindest früher oftmal nur auf den jeweiligen Systemenn gelaufen sind.

Oder umfassenden Hardwarewechsel auf einem System neuer als Win XP..

Da haste bei Vista, 7 und 8 sowie 8.1 Probleme da er die Hardware testet oder?! Aber da reicht ne simple neuinstallation.

Kannst ja mal sagen ob alles geklappt hat Cippo ;)

heute eine WD-Festplatte eingebaut und die Dell-Treiber installiert. Windows war von Anfang an verhunzt und hat nicht richtig funktioniert.
2. Versuch ohne Dell-Treiber und alle Treiber von Windows suchen lassen...jetzt scheint es zu funktionieren.
